Healing belongs to God and is the will of God that
every one should be healed. By his stripe we are
healed.
Before
we look into method of healing, let us look into the
causes of sickness. Many people believe that illness
is as a result of one's physical environment, why
others believe all sickness are from the devil, some
attribute everything good or bad to God. We must
know that the devil is the author of sickness in
relationship with the following.
1.Within
the person: personal habits, his attitudes to
life and relationship with other people. Habits like
smoking, drunkenness, and gluttony are all
detrimental to health.
2.Physical
environment: Man does not live alone in the
world but with inside physical and spiritual
environment. Physical environment is a world
corrupted by evil, subjected to vanity and polluted
by germs. Physical environment is also polluted with
toxic substances that poison the water and food. The
toxic water causes sickness: death barrenness,
bacteria, virus and fungi infection (2King 2:21)
3.Spiritual
environment: Satan and his demons: The entire
purpose of Satan is to steal, kill, and destroy
(John 10:10) Demons have been identified to cause
epilepsy, insanity, deafness, blindness, cancer,
accident, headache, barrenness, miscarriage, death
and other sicknesses.
4.Breaking
the law of Nature: Natures laws are as important
to health as the spiritual laws, poor nutrition can
make you develop kwashiorkor, marasmus,
Tuberculosis, Vitamin deficiency etc, lack of rest
and sleep can also make you ill. The scripture
confirmed this in (2kings 4:18-36, Acts 20:9-12,
Luke, 22:50).
5.Hormones
abnormality: Premenstral tension, puerperal
psychosis, menopausal syndrome, diabetes, goitre,
rickets, etc. it should be noted however, that Satan
can manipulate both the physical environment and
laws of nature directly or indirectly to cause
destruction and killing.
6.Unknown:
The causes of many sicknesses is still unknown. We
only know that the healing of such sickness brings
glory to God. It is a sin that makes it possible for
devil to operate in ones life. It may be a sin
against yourself, sin against your neighbour or sin
against God. Healing starts from the forgiveness of
sin as follow.
(1)Forgive
yourself: The prayer of a sinner is an
abomination in the sight of God. You must forgive
yourself, any sin you have committed against
yourself and repent of it never to go back to such
sin again. (1Corrinthians 6:18-20). Flee from sexual
immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside
his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his
own body. Do you not know that your body is a temple
of the Holy Spirit, who is in you whom you have
received from God? You are not your own, you were
bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your
body.
(2)Forgive
others: Forgive other people that have offended
you in thought, words and action known or unknown to
you. Forgive with all your heart, mind and soul.
It is
now you can tell God to forgive your sins because
you have forgiven yourself and other. (Mark 11:25).
And when you stand praying, if you hold anything
against anyone forgive him, so that your father in
heaven may forgive your sins, (Luke 11:4) Forgiven
us our sins for we also forgive everyone who sins
against us and led us not into temptation.
 Accept
Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal saviour. Now,
mean business and be serious, not waving in your
prayer, know you are talking to the Almighty God but
not man. The prayer should be from your heart, soul
and mind. If you are in environment where you are
afraid, confess the following: (Isaiah 41:10) so do
not fear for I am with you; Do not be dismayed, for
I am your God, I will strengthen you and help you, I
will hold you with my righteous right hand.
Invite
the presence of the Holy Spirit and the presence of
our Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth, feel their
presence and cover the whole areas including your
body, soul and Sprit with the blood of Jesus Christ.
Cover your family, your properties your money and
your compound with the precious blood of Jesus
Christ, confess (Isaiah 54:17) No weapon forged
against me will prevail and I will refute every
tongue that accuses me. This is the heritage of the
savants of the Lord and this is their vindication
from me.
Your
should also confess the following to let devil
understand that you know that it written:
(1)Romans 8:15- for you did not receive a spirit
that makes you a slave to fear, but you receive a
spirit of boldness. And by him we cry “ Abba,
father.
(2)Psalm 34:17- the righteous cry out, and the Lord
hears them, he deliver them from all their troubles.
(3)Jeremiah 1:10- it is written see today I appoint
you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear
down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to
plant.
(4)Isaiah 59:19- It is written, from the west, men
will fear the name for the Lord, from the rising of
the sun, they will revere his glory, for he will
come like a pent-up flood that the breath of the
Lord drives along.
(5)Jeremiah 15:21- It is written; I will save you
from the hands of the wicked and redeem you from the
grasp of the cruel.
Sing
praises to the Lord Jesus Christ, praise him and
praise him because he knows what you are going to
ask. He has already answered your prayer, the
remaining part of it is for you to ask and it shall
be given unto you.
Now
pray and ask God your heart desires and it is the
will of God that every one should have good health
(3 John3).
In
more serious case, add three days fasting to your
prayers. If you do not have the strength to fast,
ask a trusted relation or friend or your pastor to
assist you to help you observe the fasting. During
such fasting, keep yourself away from sin and make
every moment prayer time.
Conclude your prayer by claiming victory in all you
have asked and give thanks to God for answering your
prayers. Bless yourself and cover yourself, your
family, your properties, your business, your
relations and friends with the blood of Jesus
Christ. Confess Prov.18: 21. The tongue has the
power of life and death, and those who love it will
eat its fruit.
While
you are engaging the devil in warfare prayer, you
should consult with your medical doctor regularly if
you are sick. Cooperation with your doctor and
laboratory test will enable you know if there is
improvement in your health. Your drugs, medicine
should be taken according to prescription. Your
prayer does not hinder you from taking your
medications. It is God that heals and it is God that
made the trees for drugs or medicine.
Planet
earth will not be complete or favorable for human
existence without the growth of trees. it is from
the trees you get fruits, oil, vegetables and
medicine. In Ezekiel 47:12-it is written, that the
fruit of the trees are for food while their leaves
are for the healing of all nature of sicknesses.
Respect and obey your doctor, because the medicine
he gives you is made from that which God gives for
your healing. It is God the made the trees for
healing of your sickness, is the same God who made
it possible for you to be healed. Learn how to give
the glory to God and thank him for making such
healing possible. Luke 1:37 For nothing is
impossible with God.
You
can pray from your sick bed and get healed. Though
devil may weaken you not to be able to pray, but try
to talk to God through prayers.
Verily
I say unto you, if you have faith and doubt not, ye
shall not only do this which is done to the fig
tree, but also if ye say unto this mountain be
removed, and be thou cast into the sea, it shall be
done. And all things whatsoever you shall ask in
prayer, believing ye shall receive Matt: 21:21-22.
Mountain, sickness, poverty, failure etc may be the
mountain in your life. He said ask, anything and it
shall be given unto you if you only
Believe: it will only cost you to pray.
Pray
in your secret closet. Prayer is communication with
the Almighty God who sees in the secret and rewards
his children openly. Many Christians pray by
shouting for people to know that they can pray. Such
believers have already earned their reward from the
acknowledgment from the people who are praising them
that they can pray.
Matt.6: 5, and when thou prayest, thou shall not be
as the hypocrites are: For they love to pray
standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the
streets that they may be seen of men. Verily I say
unto you, they have their reward, but thou, when
prayest, enter into the closet, and when thou hast
shut thy door, pray to thy father which is in
secret, and thy father which seeth in secret shall
reward thee openly.
God is
everywhere. God is with you in your room, in your
farm, in your toilet, he is with you on that your
bed. He is with you in your going out and coming in.
Do not try him if he will answer your prayer, but
believe with faith that he is with you and always He
answered your prayers.
